January 2008
We had to let little Kelly go to a better home, she was mad at us and started tinkling on our beds, carpet and anything else she could find. She didn't like the Kansas cold weather either. Hopefully she is happy at her new abode. She just needed a little old lady who would dote on her and dress her up etc.

Winter/Spring 2008
Brian and Denise went a cruise to celebrate her upcoming 40th Birthday!! Look what Amy and Doug did with the girls while they were in town babysitting!! A nice surprise for Mom and Dad. Katy is now 16, Madison is almost 13, and Camryn is 10.5 yrs old. Katy is about 10 hrs from getting her drivers license, no car for her in the near future, but hopefully soon, it will be nice to have a helper especially when Brian is traveling. Camryn should be starting softball in about a month, and hopefully it will start getting warmer, 10 degrees for a high is really starting to make me mad!! We also lost a family member this past month, Kelly went to live with another family. She became mad at us in December, and proceeded to tinkle on our beds and carpet, one too many times!! Hopefully she will be happy, maybe she got a family that had more time for her. She really wanted to sit on someone's lap and not get penned up too much. I had to work a lot in December and that is pretty much when all the trouble started happening. Good luck to her new little owners.

Happy 1st Birthday Chapin!!
Amy, Doug and Chapin were in town last week for a whirlwind trip to celebrate his birthday. They came by for dinner after visiting with Gma Curran in Olpe, we even got to baby sit him for a tiny bit too. He seemed to like Kelly so we tried to get them to take her, bad thing is she doesn't like kitties!!
Kitchen is complete!!
I just put the final touches on the paint over the weekend, it took about a week total, but the granite and new backsplash are great!! Granite is a lot more work than I thought it would be, so we bought a buffer to keep it shiny!! The only thing left is we need to put light oak blinds in, the white wood blinds are a little much with the red so I am thinking if it matched the woodwork, it might flow better. Thank you Three Men and a Hammer out of Grandview for the great work, as you can see below, they really changed our kitchen for us. The original photo of the kitchen is towards the bottom of all the photos.

Kitchen Remodel
We are finally getting the kitchen remodeled a bit. We are adding Uba Tuba granite, and a slate backsplash, I have no idea what it is named, not that it matters. Katy has her friend Cathie up from Dallas so it kind of got in the way of entertaining her while she was up here. See photos below. I just realized how/why I am not getting my photos with my postings, I promise I will get better at this. Denise

June 2007
June brought us an opportunity to visit the Lake of the Ozarks. We went down to Brian's grandmothers place in Laurie. Basically we fished as the boat was broken, and except for a day of shopping, Katy laid on the sofa, which by the way was kind of icky, all day and nite. Camryn caught a nice catfish, Madison caught a drum, and Brian caught a 2.5lb Bass. Denise had the "biggest catch" of the weekend as you will see in the photos below. Brian has left for Brazil for a nine day trip for work, Camryn has a few softball games left, Katy has a friend coming to visit for a week, and Amy, Doug and Chapin are coming in for his 1st birthday. Take care!! Denise
